SPECIAL K PROTEIN BAR RECIPE!

LOVE those special k bars? (especially Red Berries kind). Here’s a much better twist to the expensive bars that are just as delicious but are much better for you because of the protein content. Try it!


Ingredients
-¾ cup special K cereal
-¼ cup egg whites
-4 oz. fat free cottage cheese
-1 scoop vanilla protein powder
-1 tsp vanilla
-1 tsp baking powder
-cinnamon to taste
-stevia to taste

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Mix all the ingredients together, will have a thick consistency, either scoop onto cookie sheet to form cookies or spread in a baking dich to make bars.
3. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes. Insert toothpick to determine if done.

Carbs- 6.6g
Protein- 11.5

Fiber is neglible, calorie content does not include amounts for stevia.

OATMEAL DATE COOKIE RECIPE

Ingredients

-¼ dried oats
-¼ cup cottage cheese
-4 pitted medjool dates or 2 packs of Stevia or any sugar substitute
-¼ tsp baking powder
-1 egg white
-dash of cinnamon

Directions
1. Mix all ingridients together in a foo processor. Make sure dates get all mashed up. Chunks are okay.
2. Scoop the batter onto a tray after spraying with some PAM. Make mini cookies!
3. Then bake at 350F for about 15-20 minutes or until firm ans the tops are slightly browned.

With dates: 235 cals, 2.4 fat, 52g carbs, 16 protein.
With stevia: 143 cals, 0g fat, 28.1g carbs, 15.3g protein.

STRAWBERRY PROTEIN DREAM SMOOTHIE!



FAVE new breakfast shake of the moment is my Strawberry Protein Dream Smoothie!

strawberry protein dreamRecipe (for 1 serving)

-4 large strawberries (plus 1 to top with!)
-2 tablespoons of non fat Greek yogurt
-½ scoop vanilla protein powder
-½ banana
-½ cup of skim milk
-5 ice cubes

1.Brains & Beauty Detox Water

2-3 slices of oranges
small handful of blueberries
5 mint leaves

pinch of cinnamon

How does it work?
-Strawberries: are excellent for combating carcinogens besides they contain anti-aging properties and help prevent sagging skin.
-Lime: lime juice helps stimulate and regulate the digestive track, so its helpful with constipation, heartburn and gas.
-Cinnamon: this helps improve circulation, it thins blood, and manages blood sugar levels. 
Results in fewer sugar cravings so you eat less and can control calorie intake.
